In a series of short videos, Kendrick Lamar discusses his recent collaboration with Reebok on the special-edition Club C sneaker.
Kendrick Lamar has united once again with footwear giant, Reebook. This is the rapper’s third project with the footwear brand, following his previous designs for the Ventilators and a Classic Leather model.
The Reebok Classic x Kendrick Lamar Club C is available now. They feature acid-washed denim and include highlights, like red letters ‘k’ and ‘o’, in reference to Lamar’s nickname, “KDot”.
Reebok has now shared a four-part, short-film, series titled ‘Hold Court’. In the videos, Lamar discusses what the Club C project meant to him: “This sneaker represents that call for unity and equality, while also pushing people to look beneath the surface and uncover the hidden messages”.
The clips were directed by filmmaker Nabil, known for directing music videos for Alt-J, Foals, and Frank Ocean. You can watch the films below:
